It's Okay

As the story develops, a young boy makes an appearance, acting as her inner voice and reassuring her that it is okay to feel and insisting that she does not suppress her emotions but rather to accept them and be herself. The story also makes use of symbolism for example when the girl comes to realise that 'it's okay to feel' her hair grows, symbolising a newfound strength that comes with accepting oneself for who one is. The story concludes by explaining that emotions are what make each individual unique.Feelings are sometimes hard to express, even more so for children.
