This tradition of practice was first flourished widespread in india, there were treatises written by Arya Nagarujna, Tilopa and so forth.Later on this practice flourished in Tibet first through the Kagyupa tradition of Vajrayana, afterward this Guru-practice also flourished in other tradition of Vajrayana in Tibet. This is the practice, which was the pith instruction of protector Phagmodrupa based on highest Yoga Tantra view transmitted to Lord Jigten Sumgon. He accomplished the four Kaya Guru Yoga. Due to this practice he has created an auspicious connection to the four-kaya Guruyoga practice lineage in Drikung Kagyu.Based on Guhyasamaja Tantra cycle of teaching, which flourished in Tibet, devotion is the vital practice for four kaya Guru Yoga. The four Kaya Guru Yoga was the uncommon among all practice.This pure vision of dharma cycle of “the profound Guru practice of vajra bliss” was transmitted to Omniscient Rigdzin Choedrak by Dharma lord Jigten Sumgon at Golden Temple which is not common in other tradition. It is the heart essence of all the practice of that includes, ripening practice of generation stage of unsurpassable vajra vehicle, liberation path of dissolution stage practice of profound Six Yogas of Naropa as well as true nature of mind practice of Mahamudra. The activity of the practice embodies every method of practice without exception. This is the Kagyupa “Combined Sadhana of the Three Roots”and it is also the extraordinary practice of three roots of Guru Yoga. It is an uncommon teaching cycle of Drikung Kagyu lineage, which is the quintessence of profound Kagyupa lineage.
