Description:... An analytical model describing the heat transfer through a porous wall is presented. It utilizes an experimental upstream wall heat-transfer coefficient as a boundary condition. An experimen: was conducted to determine this coefficient for a surface simulating the surface of a typical fullcoverage-film -cooled turbine blade, and the results are presented. The temperature rises of the coolant approaching normal to the upstream surface and through a porous wall are more reasonable with the proposed model than with previous models.
