Description:... An enegy study was conducted to estimate the energy consumption and losses in food pocessing and to outline the technique fo conservation. Seven diffeent dairy plants in New Yok state and six diffeent plant in India were included in the study. Energy consumption in dairy plants was sinfluenced by plant design, location, milk collection and product distibution contiuencie, volumes procesed, seasonal variations, condition of poces equipmen and buildings, product manufactured, type of packaging.
