Offering a variety of historians' interpretations of events in Canada's past since 1867, Nation and Society: Readings in Post-Confederation Canadian History Vol II is a collection of some of the finest scholarly articles, all secondary documents. With these twenty-nine selections, thirteen of which are new to this carefully revised edition, the editors achieve a balanced representation of important social, political and economic topics and events, in all of Canada's regions.
This reader may be used in conjunction with Conrad and Finkel's acclaimed two-volume History of the Canadian Peoples or their one- volume synthesis Canada: A National History, or as a supplement to any survey of Canadian history.
