Ch. 4 (pp. 123-146), "Antisemitismus", describes the anti-Jewish treatment of students and teachers at the academies. Jews were barred from German student organizations and were frequently discriminated against and insulted in the schools. They were forbidden to work as models. Jewish teachers were expelled, and many of them emigrated. Pp. 281-305 contain biographies.
