Aufstand der Bilder
die NS-Propaganda vor 1933
Description:... On pp. 236-239, "Der jüdische Drahtzieher", asserts that antisemitism was not emphasized in Nazi propaganda until 1933, but was part of incitement against other social groups. Caricatures presented Jews as capitalists and called them "the string" of the German working class. Most of the caricatures were copied from antisemitic satirical writings of the 19th century. Racist caricatures, such as those presented in "Der Stürmer", were emphasized after the Nazi rise to power. See the index for other remarks on antisemitism. Includes caricatures.
