Description:... The Japan Graphic Designers Association's Graphic Design in Japan started in 1981 as an annual publication introducing high-quality Japanese graphic design. Each year JAGDA reproduces a compendium of outstanding new works by its members. The "Yusaku Kamekura Design Award" and the "JAGDA New Designer Awards," given to selected members who have contributed their work to Graphic Design in Japan, are coveted by many talented designers who vie to win them. This book reflects our times and presents to society the all but limitless possibilities of design as a showcase of its members' work. AUTHOR: The Japan Graphic Designers Association Inc. / JAGDA is an organisation of professional graphic designers active throughout Japan and abroad. Since its establishment in 1978, JAGDA has continuously aimed to promote the enhancement of graphic design and to contribute to the betterment of cultural life through graphic design. These goals are pursued through a broad range of activities which foster the exchange of knowledge and experience relating to graphic design, including exhibitions, symposiums and publications.
