Poetry
Unpretentious Beginnings
Description:... You ask me what is my book about, well as a seventy-year-old sentimentalist, my poems are a collection of the many thoughts and impressions I have formed over the years, I find nature cruel but incredibly beautiful. I would say my poems reveal my deep affection for human frailty and the close bonds we share with animal and plant life.
Nothing is more fragile than the spirit of mankind,
as good and evil battle in each subconscious mind.
Change is hardly noticed until friend or lover dies,
then we weep and fear mortality whilst saying our good-byes.
Roan.
