Mothers who have daughters in teenage invariably find a ready helper and consultant in a daughter who is rapidly changing right before her into a young women who is savvy, smart, technically advanced and probably knows more than the mother in various fields. Apart from this both the mother and the daughter find a deep psychological and social connection which is not readily possible with a son. A daughter is a mother’s gender partner, her closest ally in the family confederacy, an extension of herself. Mothers are daughter’s role model, their biological and emotional roadmap, the arbiter of all their relationships. The book aims to help both mothers and daughters to create a better balance and understanding between themselves and nurture this unique relationship. I take this opportunity to thank the All mighty in making me capable to complete this endeveour. This book would not have been possible without the encouragement and insipiration from Dr Kamini Jain. She has been my mentor, guide,teacher and an invaluable friend through the last so many years. I take this opportunity to thank my parents ,siblings, my husband and my son who have been my support system through this journey of life. Without them this feat would have been impossible.
