Description:... On the life story of Ernst Federn (b. 1914), a psychoanalyst in Vienna, as well as a Jew and a communist. He was arrested by the Gestapo in March 1938, and interned in Dachau for a few months. He was then interned in Buchenwald for seven years, until the liberation. His wife, who was a half-Jew, remained in Vienna throughout the war and sent Ernst, who was then her fiancé, money and food. In 1948, they immigrated to the USA.
