I Saw God's Hand in Papua New Guinea!
Description:... When God first called him to the mission field, Jeff Bishop said no. He liked his teaching job at Grand Rapids Junior Academy, and with his service as an SDA School teacher, he felt he was already doing missionary work. But God made it clear that he was to serve as a missionary overseas.
Jeff gives an account of the years that he and his wife and two daughters spent living and working among the Gogodala people of Western Province, Papua New Guinea. Even the day-to-day business of becoming an established missionary in a developing country helped him learn about the land and connect with the people and their culture. Every step of the way, he saw that God was working things together for him and his family. He witnessed miracles of protection and healing, both physical and spiritual. Bishop describes the severe judicial system of the Gogodala people; offenders were dealt with promptly and harshly. But he noticed that after listening to his sermons about God’s love and forgiveness, the people started to practice his teaching, and the community was transformed.
Bishop wants readers to see God’s hand at work—the miracles He performs in the lives of those who are serving Him and those seeking Him.
