Stock Status, Data Envelopment Analysis, Industry Surveys and Management Options
Description:... The purpose of the workshop, organized in collaboration with tuna agencies and programs, was to develop quantitative methods to determine the desired magnitude of or desired change to fishing capacity on the basis of the status of stocks. The outcome of the workshop will be relevant for the work of these organizations and their member countries, rendering technical assistance to fisheries managers in undertaking decisions on the management of tuna fishing capacity. This document includes the report and papers presented at the workshop. It also contains a statement prepared by the participants and presented at the Meeting of Tuna Regional Fisheries Management Organizations held in Kobe, Japan, in January 2007.
