Empirical Perspectives on Anaphora Resolution

Traditionally, anaphora resolution focused on structural cues like grammatical role, order of mention, and topicality. Recently, the interaction between discourse factors and information structure affecting antecedent salience has been more thoroughly explored. This volume brings together papers presenting new theoretical insights as well as experimental and empirical findings that focus on the prominent role of salience in anaphora resolution.
