Her fervor and dedication to the Sacred Heart, and a firm belief in humility before God, drove her to incredible accomplishments before her death at the age of 67. Between 1890 and 1905, she wrote extensively to the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - the order she founded - in letters describing her travels and trials. This book is the first to distill her thoughts on her relationship with God and her mission from those letters into a collections on inspirational sayings. Living as she did into the 20th century, so very close to our own time, the words of Mother Cabrini speak to us in a modern voice that also illuminates a Saint's journey to be faithful to God in a changing world.
